Anthem Finished!

She's done! I'm really happy with the way her hair turned out - whew! I am editing her photos now and I'm going to try to put her auction up on Thursday this week. Stay tuned for an official announcement though - chestnuts (and pintos, double whammy!) can take a while to get properly adjusted so I don't want to get firmly stuck on a date just yet. Here's hoping the editing comes together nicely!

And just for kicks, here's what she looked like after hairing and before pulling, trimming and styling. Scary!

Holy cow, Mel! She's beautiful! I was honestly a little on the fence about her as I watched her coming along, but I think it was because she felt incomplete. Now with the hair, it's like the light bulb went on! Amazing job!

That's some good inspiration for me to get my first hairing job going.

She's quite dramatic with the hair (and I am not generally pro hair...too much performance showing!)

I kinda looked like the second photo this morning....I kinda still do...:P

Nice job, Mel! I love the way the coat color matches the hair color so well, it looks very natural. You're braver than me, I doubt I will ever try a haired model 8-0

Hey Kim! Yes, I'm always a little worried about showing in progress stuff (especially things without ears) because I don't want to scare people away! Glad you stuck around. :-D

LOL Jackie - I looked like that until 11:30 today too. Ha ha!

Thanks Carol! I wound up blending some auburn and dark brown hair to get the right color and the bonus is now it's a nice variegated mixture with streaks. :-D

Thanks Marianna and Becky!

I've just found this blog courtesy of Sarah Rose's group (thanks Sarah!). What a fantabulous place, with great tips and progress pics.

Anthem is so gorgeous and life-like. She is a work of art and biological accuracy. Positively scumbumtious!(as you can see, words fail me!)
