Peanut Auction

Now on My Auction Barn! (Sometimes the link doesn't work - not a problem! You can either click it again, or he's easy to find on the MAB home page.)

This is "Peanut", a custom on the Classic Quarter Horse Mare. She has had lots of little improvements here and there including new hooves, shoes, heel bulbs and pasterns. Her legs have been straightened and resculpted where necessary to correct molding issues. Peanut also has an all new nose and mouth, forehead, profile and cute twisty ears. She wonders just where her carrot is with that sassy little head turn. Her mane and tail are finished in neat hunter braids and she's ready to hit the show ring.

Peanut has been painted a light creamy palomino sabino with shading in her mane and tail and she has two cute little boop spots on her nose. Her markings are mapped and she has all the details my work is known for including shaded chestnuts, detailed hooves, and lifelike eyes.

Peanut is my last sales horse this year, so pick her up while you can!

Generous time payments are welcome - I am happy to work with customers to make purchases possible. My usual 30% deposit is not required for this auction. Please inquire before bidding so that I know what to expect.

Fluffernutter Auction

Now on My Auction Barn! (Sometimes the link doesn't work - not a problem! You can either click it again, or he's easy to find on the MAB home page.)

This is "Fluffernutter", customized from the brand new Breyer Icelandic. Fluffernutter has had a lot of tweaks both major and minor. His hips have been evened out and much of his hindquarters are resculpted. He has a lengthened and completely resculpted barrel. He has a sassy new scrunched up nose and mouth, and new flicked back ears - he is really working that tolt! His hind legs have been slightly moved to correct their alignment and are now in a more active position with a clear acrylic peg. His front pastern has been resculpted to be more weight bearing and all of his hooves have been resculpted. He is topped off with hair everywhere! He has ear and chin fluff, feathering and a nice thick mane and tail.

Fluffernutter has been painted a mealy bay with an interesting half and half tobiano pattern. His mane and tail have fun mixed hairs and his feathers are creamy tinged and shaded from trekking about. He has all the details my work is known for including shaded chestnuts, detailed hooves, and lifelike eyes.

Generous time payments are welcome - I am happy to work with customers to make purchases possible. My usual 30% deposit is not required for this auction. Please inquire before bidding so that I know what to expect.

Spartacus Auction

Now on My Auction Barn! (Sometimes the link doesn't work - not a problem! You can either click it again, or he's easy to find on the MAB home page.)

This is "Spartacus", a drastic custom on the Breyer customizing kit horse. All rubber balls beware - he is now a spunky little pony in full-on attack mode! Every inch of this feisty boy has been resculpted, from his open mouth to his hooves and every furry bit in between. He is permanently attached to his squished ball and is very sturdy.

Spartacus has been painted a silver dapple tobiano with soft winter hair dappling. His ball is pink with fine pink glitter embedded in it for that extra bit of playful oompf. He has all the details my work is known for including shaded chestnuts, detailed hooves, teeth and tongue, and lifelike eyes.

Generous time payments are welcome - I am happy to work with customers to make purchases possible. My usual 30% deposit is not required for this auction. Please inquire before bidding so that I know what to expect.

Chinook Studios (sort of) Closing, Wyatt Auction

I officially made this announcement before BF this year, but only just now realized I forgot to post it to the blog. BreyerFest 2014 marked my official retirement from full time professional model horse art. I am not burnt out and I am not completely leaving, but it is time for my work to become a hobby again. Over the coming year the customs that were done for BF will be available via auction. Speaking of which, the first auction horse, "Higgledy Piggledy", a CMed Wyatt is now up on My Auction Barn. (Sometimes the links to MAB don't work, but you can always find him featured on the home page.)

As for what this announcement means for current work, over the next few months I will be finishing the remainder of my commissions. Those who have work with me do not need to worry about losing their spot(s). After that, I expect that I will produce some horses but at a drastically reduced rate. I cannot say if that means one horse a year or a handful as I do not know what my circumstances will be. I do have a cabinet of wonderful resins (many already customized and prepped!) that I am looking forward to painting in the future.

I am so thankful to have had the chance to do this work full time for as long as I did. I appreciate everyone who has supported me through purchases or simply been a friendly face online and at shows. Thanks a million, and see you around!

Seattle Native Auction

Now on My Auction Barn! (Sometimes the link doesn't work - not a problem! You can either click it again, or he's easy to find on the MAB home page.)

This is "Seattle Native", Kitty Cantrell's Loneseome Glory customized as saucy Thoroughbred stallion. He is turning and neighing at something behind him - perhaps he sees a lovely mare, or maybe he's expressing his opinion about having to work during feeding time. Either way, he's a handful. His neck has been resculpted as has his entire right shoulder and leg. His barrel has been filled out and all of his hooves have been resculpted, including shoes. He has new ears and a new lower face including his nostrils and semi-open neighing mouth. His tail accentuates his tense movement and his pulled mane is nearly as unruly as he is.

Seattle Native has been painted a rich dappled brown. The dappling is more subtle in places than the photos suggest - you really have to see him to appreciate all of his nuances. He has four flashy white sabino socks and a big blaze to really make him stand out. He also has all the other details my work is known for including shaded chestnuts, detailed hooves and lifelike eyes. He comes with his NAN card from BF Live where he won his class.

Generous time payments are welcome - I am happy to work with customers to make purchases possible. My usual 30% deposit is not required for this auction. Please inquire before bidding so that I know what to expect.
